years building digital products and infrastructure
Independent technologist · New Delhi
I build useful systems.
I keep asking how they work.
I’m Tariq Abdullah—a product builder, cloud infrastructure operator, entrepreneur, and researcher working across software, hosting, AI, and distributed systems.
A small beliefGood systems are often quiet: people should feel the benefit without having to think about the machinery.

I have always been drawn to the space between disciplines.
Software, publishing, biology, and teaching may look like different chapters. To me, they are parts of the same practice: learning deeply, making ideas clear, and building things that leave people more capable than before.
Alongside leading technology work, I have taught digital marketing at Alhikmah Foundation and supported Wellbeing Foundation in taking its work online. I value technical work that is rigorous, useful, and generous with what it makes possible.
The systems and values behind it ↗A practice-led academic pivot
From software architecture and cloud infrastructure to computational biology and applied AI, my work follows a single thread: making complex systems useful.
↗The operating stack
From the visible
to the invisible.
Each layer is a different responsibility—and a different place to learn what makes a dependable product.

Selected record
Evidence of
the work.
Fifteen years across product direction, full-stack engineering, cloud operations, research communication, and applied machine learning.
cloud-cost reduction delivered through systems redesign
peer-reviewed publication and a continuing research record
major platforms and products taken from idea to operation
Work in public
Good work should be
explainable.
Whether I am teaching, writing, or working through a technical problem with a team, I care about making complicated ideas clear enough for people to use and question.

Work that found
a home.
A few of the companies, products, and publications I have helped build, shape, or support over time.

Open to thoughtful exchange
The work is serious.
Life should be full.
I make room for family, travel, books, and the ordinary conversations that keep ambition in proportion. If something here makes you curious, I would be glad to connect across disciplines.
